Our focus is on the end-to-end design of utility-scale powerplants, electrical substations and power lines. We manage every phase: from feasibility studies to authorization and executive design, right through to technical supervision on site.

Renewable Energies

Renewable sources are now the key driver for global competitiveness and sustainability. At Progetto Energia, we translate this potential into real assets through engineering that combines strategic vision with in-depth technical and regulatory knowledge. We believe in an approach that can bring stability to change, guiding the complexity of the sector towards concrete and lasting development goals.

We oversee the entire project chain for the development of utility-scale wind, photovoltaic and agrivoltaics plants, working on both greenfield and brownfield solutions. Our work synergistically integrates every phase, from feasibility studies to executive design, coordinating all specialist support services: from topographical findings and geological investigations to archaeological, naturalistic and acoustic consulting, from the preliminary design phase up to the grid connection and compliance studies. We complete our technical proposal by directly supervising the construction phase through Construction Management services (CM and SSC), ensuring a smooth and rigorous transition to the commissioning of the asset.

National Transmission Network (NTN)

The National Transmission Network is the backbone of the national energy system, the fundamental asset that enables the transition to new energy management models. Collaborating with the main transmission players and operating according to Terna’s rigorous standards, we work to strengthen the resilience of the grid, decongest the network and integrate new plants through excellent design solutions aimed at maximizing system safety.

We oversee the design of civil works and technological systems, together with the management of permitting procedures, for the construction or refurbishment of overhead lines, electrical substations, and high- and extra- high- voltage cable connections. Our contribution spans the full professional spectrum, from preparatory services and TEFS definition through to detailed design. Our technical coordination—incorporating on-site investigations and BIM modelling where required—is designed to minimize uncertainties and resolve operational challenges. Thereby we accelerate the permitting and construction site workflow.

Our design solutions are aimed at maximizing flexibility of the energy system, enabling the integration of renewable sources and the provision of ancillary services to the grid. We coordinate the entire design cycle for Battery Energy Storage Systems and related connection infrastructure, starting with the technical feasibility study and continuing through to the preliminary design for the connection request to the network operator. We manage the final civil engineering development, integrating all the specialist activities necessary to complete the authorization process. We are committed to ensuring that all technical and documentation requirements are met, ensuring a smooth process that leaves the project ready for the execution phase
